Industry-leading MatTek Dishes provide brilliant imaging in standard size cell culture dishes and plates. MatTek's expertise in cell isolation and expansion allowed us to develop the highest quality primary human cells and culture media for research in 2D. Our 3Diy kits further bridge the gap between 2D cell culture and ready-to-use 3D tissues by providing researchers with an opportunity to use specialized cells in 3D tissue models at a lower cost. 

MatTek culture ware products combine the convenience of standard size plastic petri dishes and multi well plates with the optical quality of glass, providing superior microscopic imaging quality. All MatTek dishes are sterilized with gamma-irradiation and 5 years shelf life at room temperature.

Glass Bottom Dishes: 35mm and 50mm dishes with 7mm, 10mm, 14mm or 20mm diameter center openings. Pre-equilibrate dishes to pipet 2-3ml of medium to 35mm dishes and 3-4ml of medium to 50mm dishes. Unique gridded coverslip for 14 mm grid pattern (middle) & 7 mm petri dish (right).

Multi-Well Plates: 6, 12, 24 or 96 multi-well plates in 10mm, 13mm, 14mm or 20mm microwell diameters. Pipet 250 ul of cell suspension into 10mm diameter microwells, 500 ul of cell suspension into 14mm diameter microwells & 1 ml of cell suspension into 20mm diameter microwells.

Chambered Cell Culture Slides (12/case): 2-well (CCS-2), 4-well (CCS-4), 8-well (CCS-8). Standard 75 mm x 25 mm microscope slide. No chemical adhesives used. Prevents cross-contamination. Alphanumeric labeling. Easy open flip for chamber & slide disassembly. MatTek’s proprietary easy release snap allows for the easy “snap-on, snap-off” chamber apparatus uses no adhesive, and does not require a special tool for removal.

Lead-times can be shortened for the non-sterile orders. Customers can sterilize the dishes using UV and/or 70% ethanol (e.g. 40mins under UV light in a tissue culture hood and/or immersion if 70% ethanol for 30 minutes). The lead-time for gamma sterilized dishes is 3-6 weeks.

Cover Slip Kits: Pre-sterilized coverslips inside plastic petri dishes. Ideal for amniocentesis, solid tumors, and chorionic villus samples (CVS), MatTek coverslip kits come pre-cleaned and sterilized. Our products are gamma-irradiated and come with a sterling guarantee.

Coverslip Removal Fluid: unique to MatTek, our glass bottom dish multi well plates have removable coverslips! The purpose of removing the coverslip is after you grow the cells and watched them, you can pull the coverslip off and put it on a slide for long term storage and imaging.
